A Garden Art Studio Designed Around Light, Space & Creativity

For artist Gabe, having a dedicated space to create was always the goal. Somewhere she could leave her paints and materials set up, work on projects without interruption, and enjoy the freedom of having a studio entirely her own. Rather than converting a spare room inside the house, Gabe wanted a separate creative space in the garden. That’s what led her to the Hamilton 12x8 Cedar Timber Designer Studio.

Finding the Right Space for Creativity

Gabe wanted plenty of usable space, generous ceiling height and a layout that would work for her art practice. The Hamilton offered room for painting supplies, equipment and a workspace without taking over the garden. Seeing a finished studio in person at a STILLA display helped her make the final decision. “Being able to walk through the finished product and experience the space properly was what really helped us make the decision,” Gabe explains.

The Natural Beauty of Cedar

Gabe and her family wanted something that complemented their property. The warmth and natural character of cedar timber was a big part of the appeal. With its timeless exterior and contemporary design, the Hamilton feels at home in its surroundings.

Designed to Make the Most of Natural Light

For an artist, natural light can completely change a workspace. Gabe wanted a bright, open studio where she could spend hours creating. Customising her Hamilton with additional windows helped bring that vision to life. Daylight now flows into the room, creating an airy space connected to the garden.

A Smooth Journey from Vision to Reality

As one of the first Hamilton Studios assembled after the model’s launch, Gabe’s project experienced a few minor challenges. The support from STILLA made the difference. “Stilla were absolutely wonderful to deal with,” Gabe says. “We couldn’t be happier with the finished product.”

More Than Just an Art Studio

While Gabe designed her Hamilton around painting, the same garden studio could suit a home office, pottery studio, sewing room, hobby space or creative retreat. A Designer Studio is about creating a room that works for the way you want to live.
